The brickies have been at our house and have been working very hard!
We have also had plaster and insulation delivered, heating and cooling roughed in, most external [except the bifold] doors fitted and the electrician has been.

Brick work should be finished in the next couple of days so I will update blog in hopefully, the not too distant future.

  3. Your not wrong about them moving fast BelleBeau but I'm sure they'll slow down once we hit fixing stage.

Yes the brick work does look very neat apart from some really ugly, messy work at the front. My husband is sure this will be covered by render, I hope he is right. I guess we will see over the coming weeks. Relle

    Hi A Bev,
it's good to finally see it moving along, it was a long 2+ months while we were waiting for those bricks.

Yes it does look huge to us too, don't even want to think what it's going to be like to clean!
Hope you get a chance to come and see it when you're down. See you then, Narelle.

  6. Hi K and T, yeah we're wrapped it's now moving along. You will find that once the brickies get started it will move fairly quickly. Still no luck with your brickies?

We've gone with the contempory facade with colorbond "dune" render. Hoping that colour will go okay with bricks!
Hope you see some action on your's soon.
    Relle

Hello Carol and Mark, good to hear from you!
Hopefully when you come over we can still get in. From reading other blogs, lock up doesn't always mean lock up or out but you never know.

Looking forward to Saturday should be a good day/night. See you then.

  7. Hey Relle,
Great choice of bricks! Don't stress about the messy brickwork in areas that are going to be rendered.

Your brickies are certainly powering ahead. Great to see! With the plaster and insulation delivery, it's going to be a very busy time at your place.

    Cheers
    Liana
