Basin Update

Front facade no scaffold
Front facade with finial and arch bar.
Front facade with scaffold.
Yet another angle of front facade.
Scaffolding packed up and ready to go.
Living area getting its first lick of paint.

Got a call from our CSC to let us know of the cost for replacing the ensuite basins. She said we had been given the ok by management to change the basins and the cost to do this would be $299. Not sure how they come up with that figure, as the difference between the basins we have at the moment and the ones we chose is about $114.
We had thought we were going to have to pay the full cost of replacing the basins which was about $800. So, I suppose the $299 figure isn't too bad. It's just a shame that the contract didn't have the detailed description and that we missed on picking that up in the contract.

On a better note, the painting has begun, the garage roof is being done and brick cleaning has been completed. Pictures of these things will come.

For now the above pictures are a few of the facade with no scaffold, the finial and arch bar- sorry about the sun glare.

  1. At least they are letting you change them Relle, I suppose the extra is the cost for the trades to take them out and put in the new ones. I agree, much better than $800.

What is going across the front of your balcony? Will you have a view from there? The facade is really looking good, makes such a difference when the scaffolding comes down.

    Cheers

  2. Hi Relle,
As J said, much better to pay $299 than $800, and most importantly you are going to love them!!
Painting - yay!!! Can't wait to see what you have chosen.

  3. Hi Relle,

Great news that you were able to swap the basins to what you wanted eventhough it was for a few $$$ more. At least now you have what you love and not a compromise.

Facade really looks lovely and we can't wait for our scaffolding to come down.
